Meet the Watson Engineering Team: Charles Swasey
With over 17 years of experience, Charles prepares quality design and construction documents.
As a design drafter and project manager, Charles primarily focuses on civil engineering projects. He joined Watson Engineering Company (WEC) in 2003 and brings a level of experience and proficiency our engineering staff and clients appreciate.
Charles enjoys the variety of projects he works on. From small site plans for residential homes to large subdivisions and commercial projects, our engineers rely on his 17 years of experience to prepare quality design and construction documents.
He has especially enjoyed working on the 80-unit Libertad Apartment Complex. Built on a hillside adjacent to the city golf course, site grading was extremely difficult because of the steep slope of the existing property. “There was around 30 to 40 feet of elevation change from one side of the site to the other,” Charles explains. “Between coordination with the client and a fair amount of creativity with the site layout, we solved some complex site challenges.”
The collaborative working environment at WEC is something that’s important to Charles and what he believes sets the firm apart. “We’ve developed a great working relationship and skill sets to help each other meet project deadlines,” he emphasizes.
